Sometimes, you may need to transfer files and other stuffs from your flash drive to your Android phone and vice versa. It is possible to do that but you will first have to get yourself an “On The Go”(OTG) adapter or OTG cord as shown in the image below;
If the transfer you want to do is not from a flash drive but an SD card, then you need to put it into SD card reader and follow the same procedure as with a flash drive.
Procedure;1. Connect the flash drive or SD card reader(with the SD card inside) to the female end of the OTG adapter.
2. Connect the male end of the OTG adapter to your phone(USB port for charging).
3. Now open your file manager and locate USB drive. Tap it to open. From your file manager, you can copy and paste from the phone to the flash drive and vice versa.
Tip; For your OTG to last longer, buy the adapter rather than the cord. Simply, breakage may happen in the cord which will force you to buy another one.
For the Android phones with the type-C USB port for charging, just buy a type-C USB flash drive and you are good to Connect.
